Fundraising for a Potters Bar boy who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy has nearly hit the £20k mark.

Eleven-year-old Harry Worrell was diagnosed with the degenerative disease aged 3, but a “miracle” treatment has recently become available in America.

The Potters Bar community has rallied behind the Dame Alice Owen’s pupil – with numerous businesses contributing to the cause.

Harry’s family will be holding a cake sale at the Furzefield Centre in Mutton Lane on Thursday, March 9, between 9.30am and 11.30am.
