PETROL was stolen in a late night theft.
Gallons of fuel was poured into a container before the man ran off without paying from Total, on Stanborough Road.
The police helictopter, which was in the nearby area, hunted for the thief after the 12.45am incident on Thursday.
*An 18-year-old man from WGC was arrested on suspicion of making off without payment and cautioned.
