Neighbours in Hatfield have claimed that their bins have not been emptied for five weeks.

James Paterson, of Tiger Moth Way, tweeted the Welwyn Hatfield Times, Welwyn Hatfield Council and Serco this morning to complain.

He tweeted at about 9.50am this morning: “Five weeks and numerous calls later still no collection????????

“Tiger Moth Way is the road and not just my bin not collected.”

By 10.50am,he hadn’t heard from either the council or Serco via Twitter.

He added: “Typically heard nothing, really is appalling.”

Residents of Dragon Road have also been in touch with the Welwyn Hatfield Times this morning to say their black bins haven’t been emptied since before Christmas.

However, they said recycling collections have been like “clockwork”.
