Community group the Friends of Tewin held another successful senior citizens’ lunch.

Visitors devoured a two-course homemade lunch with tea, coffee and chocolates – whilst enjoying a light-hearted quiz at the annual event earlier this month.

A Friends of Tewin spokeswoman said: “We provided a meal for 86 people, which included several meals delivered to the homes of those people who were unable to attend in person due to various ailments.

“It was a lovely afternoon with a fantastic atmosphere and we were delighted to see so many happy, smiling faces throughout the event.

“It is always a busy day and the committee couldn’t manage without all the extra helpers who so generously give their time and we send thanks to them all.”

She also thanked the Plume of Feathers pub for cooking the ham and Tewin Parish Council, which donated £100 towards the cost of the event.
