A fang-tastic free Halloween event for families is going down in Hatfield Town Centre next week.

Halloween Fest is returning to White Lion Square on Saturday, October 27, taking place from 11am to 3pm.

The free event will have plenty of Halloween-themed entertainment for the whole family, including fun games, face painting, real life bats and children’s art activities.

New for this year, an entertainer will also be performing circus skills.

There will also be competitions, including the best fancy dress, guess the name of the cat and a ghost trail where participants can go round to town centre businesses and write the name of each ghost spotted, to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

Councillor Bernard Sarson said: “There’s no grave danger of being bored this Halloween, with even more entertainment and activities on offer at this year’s Halloween Fest compared with previous years.”
