A number of free exciting activities are going on inside the Howard Centre, Welwyn Garden City, this half term.

The Wheat Quarter Ltd is inviting families from Welwyn Garden City to take part in four days of exciting events at the Howard Centre from May 29 to June 1.

Every day from 10am till 4pm one of the shop units under the main escalators, next door to Pandora, will be transformed in to an experience zone for parents and kids.

Activities will vary each day and will include a live graffiti wall, pebble art, film-making sessions and hanging basket making.

There will also be vintage motorbikes on display and you can learn more about bees and how to grow wheat.

The public will also be able to find out more about the Wheat Quarter development with the site fly-through film and related film pieces being shown throughout the week.

The whole event kicked off yesterday at 10am with a dynamic Flash Mob performance by the Cassana Performing Arts Academy.

On Friday at 3.30pm the winners of The Wheat Quarter Junior Schools Art Competition will be revealed for the first time.
