MORE than 150 free car parking spaces will soon be available for residents and visitors to Hatfield.
The Lemsford Road car park has been revamped and is set to open at the end of this month.
It is hoped the work Welwyn Hatfield Council has done on the new facility will lead to a reduction in parking in nearby roads.
Deputy council leader Alan Franey said: "I hope people will make good use of the new car park and it will, as expected, lead to a reduction of on-street parking in the area.
