Four men go on trial over headless traveller murder

FOUR men accused of murdering Northaw traveller John Finney have appeared before St Albans Crown Court today (Thursday).
Garry Mark Lattimore, 40, of Bexleyheath; Mark Curran, 35, of Millbridge, Dollis Valley Way, Barnet; Joseph Jones, 24, of Crescent Road, New Barnet; and his father Norman Jones, 50, of Dukes Head Yard, Highgate appeared before Mr Justice McDuff this morning.
The jury is expected to be sworn in tomorrow morning (Friday) and the prosecution case, which will be presented by William Harbage QC, will open on Monday.
The trial is expected to last six weeks.

The headless and handless body of Mr Finney, a 42-year-old dad-of-four, was discovered in Ickleford, near Hitchin, last March.
