A motor scooter collided with a car in Fairlands Way in Stevenage this afternoon.

A motor scooter collided with a car in Fairlands Way in Stevenage this afternoon.


A lane has been closed on the A1(M) northbound between Junction 6 for Welwyn and Junction 7 for Stevenage after a crash involving four cars this afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews attended the crash around 1.30pm which is believed to have involved a Skoda taxi, a VW Crafter, a Mercedes and one other vehicle.

A number of casualties were treated for minor injuries and there was traffic congestion either side of the incident. Three vehicles were damaged and had to be recovered.

The road closures were due to be removed around 3.30pm.
