A former Digswell resident is singing her heart out to help victims of the Syria conflict.

To coincide with the 45th anniversary of the song I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, recorded by The New Seekers and famously remembered as the most iconic Coca-Cola song, Lucy Layton, former pupil of Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School, has released her own version, with all proceeds being donated to Syria Relief.

Lucy said: “I’m doing it for the people who are affected by this conflict.

“A lot of children have been wounded and lost their limbs while doing everyday things like walking to school.

“I want to raise awareness and music is a perfect way to do that.”
