FRYING pans at the ready - WGC's pancake day race is back.

The third annual flip-fest will take place outside the Howard Centre on Shrove Tuesday, February 5, at 11am.

Town centre manager Nicola Kane said: "It will be held outside the main entrance, where over a short course you can impress the town with your pancake tossing techniques."

The reigning champs are John Lewis, which has won the coveted frying pan trophy in the previous two events.

Teams of four are now being signed up to be on the start line - where they will be joined by Team WHT.
