A flashmob and a catwalk are coming to the Howard Centre, in Welwyn Garden City, to showcase the latest seasonal trends on offer on your doorstep.

The Howard Centre is set to be turned into a mobile catwalk by award-winning performing arts company, Living the Dream.

Performers will stage the latest autumn and winter ranges from the centre’s favourite fashion brands on Saturday, September 30.

Male, female and child performers will be seen during the day at hourly intervals between 11am and 4pm, displaying the latest collections from local stores.

Among the stores taking part in the show will be M&S, Next, New Look, Fat Face, Monsoon, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, and Roman Originals.

Howard Centre manager Paul Haynes said: “We have a great fashion offering at the Howard Centre, and the autumn and winter fashion event is an opportunity to showcase what’s available in stores this season.

“Living the Dream does outstanding work in providing classes, workshops and performance opportunities to young people in Hertfordshire.

“We are delighted to partner with such a great foundation and look forward to the event that will be enjoyed by the whole family.”

Living the Dream, is also a professional dance company, who perform flashmobs at events and have worked with Virgin, Vodafone and British Airways.

The charity, the Dream Foundation supports disadvantaged young people to have access to the arts.

Living the Dream was set up by Zoe Jackson in 2006 at the age of 16 and in 2015 she was awarded an MBE for her services to young people in the performing arts.

Zoe said: “The Howard Centre is right on our doorstep, and a great location for the community to learn about Living the Dream.

“We will be inviting a whole host of dancers to create a lively and fun event for everyone to enjoy, and really hope the visitors will love the show.”
