PUBS, shops and even council offices are flying the flag in celebration of St George's Day.

Union flags can be seen fluttering all over Times Territory in the spring sunshine.

Owners of The Cork on Howardsgate, WGC proudly decked their pub in a giant flag.

An onlooker said: "It was wonderful to see the local pub trade getting behind this patriotic day.

"It's a shame that it is not celebrated more often."

A spokeswoman for Welwyn Hatfield council also told the WHT that they were "proudly" flying the national flag above its offices on The Campus, WGC.
