Fires put out in Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City

A fire crew from Soham was called to a deliberate car fire in Stretham last night (March 10).

Firefighters from Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City extinguished two bin fires on Saturday.

The first fire broke out at 3.13pm on Saturday, March 19, in a bin in Wellfield Road, Hatfield.

One fire engine from Hatfield Fire Station attended the fire, which was in the park near the Alban Way footbridge.

The fire was out by 3.19pm.

Another fire broke out in a bin on the campus roundabout in Parkway, Welwyn Garden City, at 4.20pm on Saturday.

A crew from Welwyn Garden City Fire Station extinguished the fire with a hosereel.

The fire was out by 4.32pm.
