Firefighters were called to a roof on Hatfield's Crawford Rd


Youths received fire safety advice from Hatfield firefighters after a fire on a flat roof.

Hatfield Fire Station received a call at 2.30pm today from a worried caller reporting that someone needed rescuing from a roof.

When four firefighters, one fire officer and a fire engine arrived at the scene it was discovered that there were youths on the flat roof.

A spokesman for the fire station said a bucket of water was used to put out the fire.

He added: “We had a discussion with them about the issues and safety risks and gave fire safety advice.”
