A FIRE broke out this morning (Thursday) in WGC.
Three fire engines from WGC attended the scene at the back of pizza restaurant Ask and the offices of DBC Foodservice - formally Danish Bacon Co – in Parkway.
Smoking material had caught light in a small storage cupboard behind Denmark House, where the food wholesaler’s UK operations are based.
The small fire was quickly extinguished, and no-one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 8.30am.
One firefighter at the scene quipped “We saved their bacon.”
