A MAN and woman needed to be cut out of a Mini Cooper after the red car crashed into a lamppost.
The trapped pair were freed by firefighters after the smash between Ascots Lane and Howlands, Welwyn Garden City, on Sunday afternoon.
A fire crew from Welwyn Garden City were called at around 2.30pm and used a Lukas cutting device to shear the car’s roof off and rescue the occupants.
The couple were taken to the QE2 Hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be serious.
