Shortly after 9.40pm yesterday, firefighters were called to a property in Kestrel Green to ‘investigate a smell of burning’.

They used a thermal image camera to find the source and made the area safe.

An hour later, firefighters were called to a fire in a bin store in Clarkson Court.

They used a hosereel to put out the blaze, which is believed to have been deliberate.
