Firefighters called to log burner fire in village

One fire engine was called out to a fire at a home in Welwyn Hatfield last night.

A fire crew from Wheathampstead attended an address in Bibbs Hall Lane, Ayot St Lawrence.

A Herts County Council spokesman said: “We were called at 7.19pm to a domestic property in Bibbs Hall Lane to investigate a fire that was out on arrival.

“It was believed to have been caused by a log burner.

“One crew from Wheathampstead attended but there was nothing further for them to do.”
