Hertfordshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue service attended a fire in Welwyn Garden City.

Firefighters were called at 3.54pm on Saturday to a domestic property in Rosedale, where there was a blaze in the cavity between the kitchen and an external wall.

A fire service spokeswoman said: “Efforts were made to locate the source of the fire, using a thermal imaging camera, and the domestic water supply was used to extinguish it once found.

“A stop message was filed at 4.20pm, listing the cause of fire to be accidental.”
