TESCO headquarters was on fire last night (Thursday).
Cirrus House on Shire Park, in WGC, was evacuated at 7.25pm after a fire on the first floor.
Firefighters used a ventilation machine to clear the smoke filled Falcon Way offices, where 25 people were working at the time.
WGC fireman Simon Dredge said: "The fire was extinguished as we got there, but there was a lot of smoke.
"The building was also quite smoke damaged."
The cause of the blaze is doubtful, an investigation is being held today to see how it started.
