THE family of a life loving motorcyclist who died after his bike collided with car have paid tribute to him.
Sam Read from Potters Bar was described as a "sociable, generous and popular" man by his parents and siblings.
The 21-year-old, who lived with his dad Tony, his brother Joe, 23, and his best friend Daniel Galloway, suffered head injuries in the smash on Darkes Lane on Friday last week.
He was taken to the QE2 Hospital in WGC, and later transferred to the Royal Free Hospital in London, where he died on Monday.
Joe said: "He was a really loveable guy who we love and miss immensely."
Family also told how he was a former Mount Grace School who had gone to work with his dad.
A keen Spurs fan that enjoyed socialising, Sam was an animal lover and was devoted to his pet dog Archie.
His mother Julie, who lives in Cheshunt with his sisters Lauren, 16, and Lucy, 18, said they had been overwhelmed with messages of support and comfort from friends and colleagues.
* Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened just after 1.15pm, near the junction with Heath Drive.
Sam's Honda bike was in collision with a blue Rover 600, driven by an 80-year-old Potters Bar man, who was unhurt.
