WORLD F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has been disqualified from last weekend's Australian Grand Prix.
The 24-year-old from Herts has had his third place and all subsequent points from the race chalked off.
The Tewin driver actually crossed the finish line in fourth place in Melbourne, but was later promoted to third ahead of Jarno Trulli following a stewards' inquiry.
After new evidence from the race came to light, the FIA held a hearing earlier today (Thursday) and have now punished Hamilton and excluded McLaren Mercedes from the race.
Trulli's penalty has been overturned and the Toyota driver has been placed third again.
