Smoke from the Hay fire blows over the M25


Two fire crews are still on the scene at a hay fire in Potters Bar which started in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

More than 2000-tonnes of hay was alight this morning in a field alongside Baker Street in Potters Bar.

A spokesman for Hertfordshire County Council said: “The fire service is allowing it to burn out.

“Two engines are still on the site.”

Baker Street was closed this morning and has still not reopened.
