The result for Peartree ward on Welwyn Hatfield Council has been announced.
Steve Roberts has gained the seat for the Labour Party from the Liberal Democrats.
The votes were:
Liberal Democrat – Louise Lotz 481
Conservative – Roy Newman 478
Labour – Steve Roberts 710
