Police are looking for a dog owner after a woman was bitten in a Welwyn Garden City park.

A 74-year-old lady was bruised by a bite from a German Shepherd yesterday evening (June 3) when she was out walking alone in Moneyhole Park.

She was taken to the QEII hospital’s urgent care centre where she spent around two hours, and is currently recovering from her injuries.

Police were called at 7.36pm.

The dog owner is a white male with short black hair.

He is described as six feet and two inches tall, around 45 years old, and was wearing a grey top.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Anyone who saw the incident, or believes they know the owner of the dog, should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 673 of June 3.”
