Police were called twice at the weekend after egg throwers attacked houses in Welwyn Garden City.

Police received two reports of incidents over the weekend of eggs being thrown at houses in Welwyn Garden City.

They both occurred on Sunday in Mill Green Road and Peartree Lane.

Sergeant Matt O’Neill from the Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously. Anti-social behaviour has a detrimental effect on the quality of life for residents and we will not tolerate it in Welwyn Hatfield.

“The public are often our eyes and ears and we would encourage anyone who witnesses any incidents of anti-social behaviour to contact us via the non-emergency number 101, reporting as many details as possible including descriptions of those responsible.”
