A Welwyn Garden City school that caters for youngsters with hearing impairments has thanked a horticultural group for helping to sort its garden.
Knightsfield School welcomed the Welwyn Garden City Horticultural Society earlier this month to allow members to clear weeds and existing plants for free.
The society also provided advice on what could be grown before agreeing to return again in September.
Knightsfield headteacher Suzanne Thrower said: “We are absolutely delighted to have established another community link within Welwyn Garden City and to be able to partner with the Horticultural Society.
“Students from the school already help in the community at the Digswell Community Gardening Project, so we hope the students will be inspired by what they learn there to improve our own garden.”
