Holwell Primary School celebrated the opening of its new £2.1million facilities yesterday, Friday.

Local Eurovision star Alex Larke cut the ribbon at the Holwell Road school and unveiled the two-storey block with eight classrooms, which was funded by the county council.

Cabinet member for enterprise, education and skills, David Williams, said: “These classrooms will create the additional space needed to create a positive learning environment, one where young people can get the education they deserve.”
