THE future of a WGC college has been fully secured following merger plans being scrapped.
Oaklands College, which has sites in WGC, Smallford, St Albans and Borehamwood, was looking at merging with another further education provider as part of a cost-cutting scheme.
It was decided this week however that the college is strong enough to continue as an autonomous power.
It is a move which has saved the WGC campus, which could have been getting the chop if the original �120million redevelopment plans had gone ahead, and/or the merger.
