The University of Hertfordshire has risen three places in a recent ranking of the nation’s top universities.

The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016, released on Sunday, placed Hertfordshire 76th in the country – three places higher than last year.

The supplement also revealed that 73.3 per cent of graduates went on to secure professional jobs, and ranked the university 42nd for graduate prospects.

Vice chancellor Quintin McKellar said: “I am delighted to see the hard work and dedication of the university’s students and staff borne out in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide ratings.

“I am particularly pleased the guide references the employability of our students, which highlights our commitment to ensuring students are employable after their time in Hatfield.”
