DETAILS of this year’s University of Hertfordshire Summer Ball in Hatfield will be announced tomorrow (Monday).

The traditional uni party will take place on Friday, May 27 on the College Lane campus site – two days before the Slam Dunk Festival being held at the same venue.

A posting on the Forum Hertfordshire’s Facebook page this week said: “The line-up will start being released from this coming Monday.”

Last year’s annual ball was headlined by Brit Awards winners Florence and the Machine, who went down a storm in a packed Auditorium.

Charismatic singer Florence Welch and her bandmates were joined on the 2010 bill by the likes of indie favourites The Pigeon Detectives and then emerging urban rapper Tinie Tempah, now a global superstar.

Pass Out star Tinie won Best Breakthrough Act and Best Single at last week’s 2011 Brit Awards in London.
