A LECTURE on the development of stem cell research will take place at a WGC school next week.
Stem Cells: Potential Therapies and Cancer, will be presented by Dr Lyn Healy at Monk’s Walk School in Knightsfield on Tuesday.
Dr Healy will cover developments in understanding how stem cells work, the role of the stem cell bank and how stem cells could be used to treat conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, cardiac failure, diabetes and cancer.
