A VIBRANT school has landed a top award for what it does when school’s out.
Little Heath Primary School scooped the QiSS (Quality in Study Support) award for the activities it provides for pupils after school hours.
Staff give up their time to hold events such as art classes or chess matches.
The classes are intended to raise self-esteem and confidence in pupils and encourage engagement.
Delighted headteacher Kim Custis said: “It is important to recognise these activities can only take place thanks to a lot of staff giving up their free time to run them and I am very grateful to all the staff at Little Heath who do this.”
