YOUNG news-pups at one Hatfield school have been honing their journalistic skills – with the help of the Welwyn Hatfield Times.
Year six pupils at Oak View Primary School spent time in lessons last week studying newspapers.
And they scoured copies of the Welwyn Hatfield Times as they delved past the headlines to find out what makes an interesting and engaging news report.
Teacher Rachel Wan said: “Reading an actual newspaper has been invaluable.
“It has provided pupils with a great stimulus to write.
“The copies of the Welwyn Hatfield Times have been a great read for our budding journalists.”
