An Olympic hockey player paid a visit to Pope Paul Catholic Primary School in Potters Bar and led pupils in a hockey session.
Nicola White, a GB hockey Olympic and European gold medallist, visited the school on Wednesday, November 1 and gave an assembly talk about her sporting success and how to motivate yourself to achieve your best.
The school choir sang ‘Try your best, work your hardest’ for Nicola, and she answered questions from the children. Year 5 and 6 then took part in a hockey session, which was led by Nicola.
Headteacher Liz Heymoz said: “It was a very special moment for our children and Nicola is an inspirational role model for all of us.”
