LIB Dem prospective MP Paul Zukowskyj has slammed Business Secretary Peter Mandelson after he announced that university funding would be slashed by �398m in 2010-11.
He spoke out after Lord Mandelson revealed the budget cut in a letter to the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
Mr Zukowskyj, who works at the University of Hertfordshire, said: “In the middle of a recession it makes no sense to slash and burn the higher education sector.”
