PLANS to build a new school in Hatfield will be considered next week.
An application to build a new school on the site of the old New Briars School in Briars Lane will be considered by Hertfordshire County Council’s development control committee next Tuesday, July 12.
The scheme would see the old school demolished and in its place a new, single story, two-form entry primary school would be built, with new pupil drop off, new pedestrian access and regraded playing fields.
Hatfield has been identified as in urgent need of additional school capacity, with an expected shortage of 75 school places by 2012/13.
