Lady Salisbury, chateleine of Hatfield House, officially opened the new main building at the town’s top-rated secondary school yesterday.
The Marchioness, born Hannah Stirling, unveiled a commemorative plaque at Bishop’s Hatfield Girls’ School, which now occupies an entirely new building on the north of the Woods Avenue site thanks to special government funding.
The empty old school building is in the process of progressive demolition.
