THERE are smiles all round at Sherrardswood School today (Thursday) after another excellent set of GCSE results.
The independent school in Welwyn achieved an A*-C grade pass rate of 97 per cent.
That included 17.5 per cent of grades being A* and 24 per cent A – a record, exams officer David Johns said.
Mr Johns added: “We’ve got a record number of A and A* grades this year, and we’re very pleased.
It’s not the 100 per cent pass rate we’ve had in other years, but it’s the best overall results we’ve had.”
