Britain's only deaf professional boxer sparred with Welwyn Garden City pupils as part of a bid to inspire them.
Reece Cattermole bobbed and weaved with Knightsfield pupils during workshops held at the school, which also involved him sharing his inspiring story and keys to success.
Teacher Shula Berrington said: “He was fantastic, you couldn’t have had anyone better, and was a real inspiration for our children.
“It’s the first time he’s done public speaking but he’s particularly committed to raising the profile of deaf people in sport, and showing they can do just as well as anyone else.”
Knightsfield School caters for youngsters with hearing impairments, and headteacher Suzanne Thrower said its programme to inspire youngsters to achieve through deaf role models is working.
“They are motivated by those who have achieved despite their own similar disability,” she added.
