Pupils at Chancellor’s School celebrated what head teacher David Croston called “an excellent set of results” this morning (August 16).
The Brookmans Park school has highlighted a number of students who made exceptional progress, including: James West, who got one A* and two As, who will read Chemistry at Bath next year; Katie Whitear with three solid As, who will read mathematics and statistics at Surrey, and Ben Festa with an A and two Bs, who will read financial mathematics at Nottingham.
The school’s other heavy hitters, with scarcely a dropped mark between them, included Hoe Yin Chai with an eye-watering three A*s, Tom Fuller with two A*s and two As, Daniel Odeleye with two A*s and an A, and Lydia De Matos and Amber Heppell-Ranzetta who both got two As and an A* each.
Chancellor’s pupils will head out into the world to read a full range of academic courses including mathematics, engineering, English literature, psychology and medicine at universities including Birmingham, Bristol, London and Warwick.
This year, school also bucked the national trend of students dropping modern languages with no fewer than five students securing places to study language degrees.
Mr Croston said: “I would like to congratulate all the students and their parents on an excellent set of results.
“There were some wonderful individual achievements.
