A-level results: Stanborough School, Welwyn Garden City

IT’S been a record breaker of a year for sixth-formers at Stanborough School in Welwyn Garden City.

For students have again surpassed their expectations by attaining a record breaking average points score of 778.25 in their A-levels, the highest in the Lemsford Lane school’s history.

Notable achievers included Michael Hutchings with two A*s, an A and a B; Edward Mack and Richard Stroud both received two A*s and an A; Mitchell Seymour and Jacob Duffell with an A*, two As and a B; and Anna Woolman and Nathan Rainsford with an A* and two As.

This has, again, enabled Stanborough students to gain places at top universities.

Deputy headteacher Tim Braybrook said: “Once again, Stanborough students have worked hard to achieve the best results in the school’s history underlining the quality of teaching and learning at the school.”
