A WHOPPING one-fifth of students at Dame Alice Owen’s School scooped the best possible grade – A* – in this year’s A-levels.
And plenty of the students from the school in Dugdale Hill Lane, Potters Bar, are off to either Cambridge or Oxford University, too.
Peter Martin, chairman of governers, told the Potters Bar Edition: “The results this year are once again fantastic.
“The fact one state school can put that many students through to Oxford or Cambridge University is a tremendous tribute to the school.
“This kind of continued success the school has inspires the children to study hard and also attracts the best teachers who want to come and work here.”
