Dame Alice Owen’s School in Potters Bar has scooped another outstanding set of A-level results with 28 students subsequently getting a place at Oxford or Cambridge.
Headteacher Hannah Nemko said the school was “immensely proud” of its pupils after 28.97 per cent of all entries were graded A*, 84.84 per cent were A* to B, and 95.09 per cent were A* to C.
She added: “We are immensely proud of our young people who have worked very hard to achieve such remarkable grades.
“These have been two very pressurised years as changes to most specifications were pushed through very quickly.
“The results we have today, which are even better than those achieved last year, are also testament to the incredible teaching and dedication of our staff.
“We have 28 students who will be continuing on to study at Oxbridge and over 80 per cent of students will be taking up their first choice university place.”
Peter Martin, chair of governors, hailed the “brilliant” results and thanked Ms Nemko and the rest of the staff for their “tremendous hard work and professionalism”.
