A RECORD number of pupils at a Potters Bar school have secured places at Oxford or Cambridge after picking up their A-level results today (Thursday).
Dame Alice Owen’s headteacher Alan Davison told this newspaper he was delighted with the results.
He said: “It’s been another great year and a record 30 students have been offered places at Cambridge or Oxford.
“I know 26 of them will definitely be taking the offer but others are thinking it over.
“We have had a high number of offers in the past, in the 20s, but never as many as 30. It is fantastic.”
