The headteacher of Dame Alice Owen’s School in Potters Bar has announced he will retire next summer.
Dr Alan Davison, who has led the popular secondary school in Dugdale Hill Lane for more than ten years, told governors yesterday his last day of service would be August 31, 2016.
Chairman of governors Peter Martin has written to parents to assure them he will “recruit the very best candidate to lead the school into this new era.”
