EastEnders star Jake Wood could be sporting sequinned jumpsuits and dancing the paso doble in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Tewin-based actor is tipped to line up alongside the other snake-hipped celebrities in the hit BBC show.
Wood, 42, who plays bed-hopping bad boy car salesman Max Branning in the BBC One soap, was said to have “signed up” for the dancing reality show.
But a BBC insider remained tight-lipped over whether the actor would be donning his dancing shoes when the show gets underway next month.
A spokesman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “We never comment on speculation.”
If the rumours are true Wood would be competing against the likes of Andy Murray’s mum Judy and Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge.
