Eagle-eyed EastEnders fans would have got a glimpse of Hatfield in the long-running soap last week.
The trial of Dot Branning, played by June Brown, for the murder of heroin addict son Nick Cotton (John Altman), got underway and scenes were filmed in the town.
The scenes were shot at the University of Hertfordshire’s law court, which has previously doubled as the fictional Walford Crown Court.
The court buildings are used by law students at the site and were used during the trial of another character – Max Branning, played by Tewin’s Jake Wood.
Speaking after that filming session Dan Douglas, events co-ordinator for Conference Hertfordshire at the university, said: “Our state-of-the-art facility offers an exceptional learning environment for our students and we are proud to have welcomed back the BBC to showcase the law court on such a popular show.”
