EastEnders filming at the University of Hertfordshire has finished, for now.
All scenes shot for the BBC One soap at the Hatfield site have now been aired, a university spokeswoman has said.
The last glimpse of the university’s replica law court doubling as “Walford Crown Court”, was on Christmas Eve when Alice Branning, played by Jasmyn Banks, wrongly pleaded guilty to the murder of dodgy boxing club owner Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd).
Dan Douglas, events co-ordinator for Conference Hertfordshire at the University of Hertfordshire, said: “The University is delighted that our law building and replica Crown Court featured on EastEnders over Christmas.
“Our state of the art facility offers an exceptional learning environment and we are proud to have it showcased it on such a popular show. We hope to be able to accommodate the BBC to film more scenes here in the future.”
The court room was also used when Max Branning, played by Tewin resident Jake Wood, was aquitted of attempted murder in November.
Viewers saw Max in the dock with daughters Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) and Lauren (Jaqueline Jossa) in the public gallery of the courtroom.
